The Nightmere on 7th Street

October...Halloween...the perfect season for the renters from H...E...double hockey sticks!  How do you ask a family of 7 to move out of your home when you know times are tough, the economy is not well, their business is struggling so the father had to start looking for a job in addition to the two part time jobs that he has, and the mother just had major surgery and contracted phenomena? It took me three months to call them up to announce i needed to cut my losses. i had no idea what i was about to face...

DUN DUN DA...........

(imagine spooky music playing instead of my feel good music you're listening to now.)

Have you ever entered a house that reeked of animal urine and mold? If not i don't recommend going out of your way to have the experience, rather, be grateful you haven't.  If you have I'm sorry, and yes that is what my 'once upon a time cute house' smelled like before the renovation. Anyone gagging yet...i did! What did it look like you might be asking yourself...well you are about to find out (if you feel so inclined to cry when you see some of these pictures feel free, i did)!

But before i go on you must know, despite all that went wrong and was destroyed, i was greatly blessed through the love and kindness of friends who came to my aid. My neighbor, Dustin Rooks, and my friends and coworkers, Shayne and Sheri Gallagher, from Kanab, drove up to Lehi to help. Lori's mom Chris drove down from Burley area. Alicia Runolfson, her friends Mike and Joleen from American Fork came. Two employees Kerri and Christine from Sandy and Pleasant Grove came. Christine brought along her brother Brian to help out. Old roommates, Chelsea Pelfrey from Midway and Jessica Malone from Payson came.  Friends Evan Ogden, Shanna and Danny  from SLC came.  Elementary friends Jamie and Melissa Jackson and their friend Jake from Draper came. 18 people congregated at my house for four days helping me to restore it. God bless each of them for their service to me. I cannot repay them for what we were all able to accomplish in that short amount of time. I am humbled at the caliber of friends the Lord has placed in my life.  Thank you eternally for your friendship and service.

Are you ready for the mess?

Aaaa yeah there was suppose to be a sink there. notice the
mold on the wood and around the imaginary sink...

Premier

Ring ring ring...

Erin: Hello

Emron: Hey sis, want to go to the premier of Toy Story 3 with me on May 8th?

Erin: Are you serious? YES!

Emron: Great! I'll start looking for flights. You'll need to bring a formal dress.

Erin:  I don't have one of those...never worn one.  Guess I  get to go shopping.

Emron:  K. Good luck. Excited to have you. See you soon.  Love ya!

Erin: Thank you Emron.  Love you too!

I called Alicia Runolfson seeking help in the dress department.  She quickly scheduled a time to drive down from American Fork to assist in the search for the perfect dress. We had our work cut out for us. The day she arrived we drove to St George...we had our work cut out for us. Several shops were no longer open. after searching for them way to long we moved on. finally we found one still in business. We walked in...there before my eyes was the most beautiful dress. No way was it going to be my size...everything was one of a kind...and the Manichean it was on was tiny. We perused around and found a few dresses to try on. I found myself going back to this dress and wishing, just wishing it could fit me. In the dressing room trying on the dresses i was caused to have very good posture and to breath shallowly after the 10 minutes it took to zip the dang dresses up. i tried to convince myself i could be comfortable in them for an entire night. Then i had a vision of me passing out somewhere in the middle because my oxygen intake was so low. 20 minutes had gone by and i was already getting frustrated...i didn't know how much longer i could shop. I walked around one last time. Found myself staring at the beautiful bronze dress. I decided to look...oh my gosh it was a size 10...my size...it was pinned in the back to make it fit the stupid doll. It was PERFECT! I found the necklace and earrings to match it all in the same store. The ladies working the story that day said they had only put it up on the rack the day before....I believe it was meant for me!!!!!!

When I arrived in San Fransisco Emron took me on a tour of the city and Pixar.
